Mark Peters, Vice President of PennWell Corporation and Group Publisher

Mark F. Peters is a Vice President of PennWell Corporation and Group Publisher of Offshore and Oil & Gas Financial Journal. He has over 30 years of industry-related experience having been a publisher of a refining, petrochemical, gas processing publication and a pipeline and gas industry publication. He is a frequent speaker addressing oil, gas, refining and offshore issues and trends at seminars, conferences and users groups.

His extensive travel schedule includes attendance at major upstream and downstream meetings around the world. He holds a BA degree in psychology from Brown University.

Cora Poche, Team Lead, Data Management and Geomatics Americas,
Shell International Exploration and Production Inc.

Cora Poche’s career in Shell spans over 30 years. She started her career working in various teams in Exploration, where she gained experience and knowledge in exploration geology and geophysics. After holding various positions within Shell, she later moved to Technical Data Management where she used her experience and knowledge to provide customer-focused solutions. Cora has extensive experience in leading Americas DM teams in Subsurface Well Data Management, Seismic Data Management, and Subsurface Support. In 2014, Cora moved to Shell International E&P Inc. and is currently leading a team of specialists in WRFM Data Management, Rock and Fluids Properties Data Management, Petrophysics Data Management, Wells Data Management, Seismic Data Management and Geomatics.

Cora has been an active member of PNEC for 15+ years and is currently Advisory Board Chair. She has served on the conference advisory board for 11+ years, chaired industry data management panel discussions, and has presented numerous papers on seismic and well data management. Cora is a recipient of the prestigious “Stewart McAdoo Pillar” award in 2006 for significant data management contributions.

The Oil Industry in a Roiling Market: An Update
Bob Tippee, Editor-in-Chief, Oil & Gas Journal
This presentation will address why oil prices collapsed, how the oil and gas industry is responding, and where the market is now in its transformative correction. 

Bob Tippee is Editor of Oil & Gas Journal, a weekly trade magazine, and its web site, Oil & Gas Journal Online. Since joining the Journal in 1977, he has written on all aspects of the international petroleum industry, with special interest in economics, energy policy, geophysics, and the Middle East. His work for the magazine has won awards from American Business Media, New York Society of Business Press Editors, Association of Petroleum Writers, International Association for Energy Economics, International Association of Energy Advocates, and Houston Society for Technical Communications. He also has won the Cicero Speechwriting Award and is the 2010 recipient of American Business Media’s Crain Award.

Tippee became the Journal’s chief editor in January 1999. He also was Editor-in-Chief of the 1997 through 2001 editions of the Journal’s annual affiliate, International Petroleum Encyclopedia.

Tippee is the director of two PennWell Petroleum Group conferences and has written or cowritten several books on the oil and gas industry.

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, he holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Tulsa and served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
